Obituary

Gary R. Mckenna, 70, of Hopewell Twp., Pennsylvania,  passed away on Friday July 8th, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on November 26, 1945 in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, and a son of the late William and Evelyn (Cocenhour) McKenna. Gary worked as an Iron worker, as well as owning McKenna Construction during his life. He was also a member of the Center Twp. VFW.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother; David “Butch” McKenna.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy McKenna; three sons; David (Rhonda) McKenna of Aliquippa, Steven (Doreen) McKenna of Hopewell, Jason (Tonya) McKenna of Beaver; a brother; Donald “Buff” McKenna of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren; Bailey, Jordan, Justen, Joshua, and Josephine; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews

In lieu of flowers, Gary’s family has asked that donations be made to the Beaver County Human Society,3394 Brodhead Rd, Aliquippa, PA 15001 and The Veterans Association.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa, PA. 15001 www.darrochfuneralhome.com where a funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 11 am with Pastor Rich Liptak officiating,.

The Beaver County Special Unit will meet on Thursday at the funeral home at 11am to conduct full military honors.
