Edward J. Kastler

Edward J. Kastler, 86, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Wednesday September 28, 2016 in West Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on July 06, 1930 in Aliquippa, he was the son of the late John and Cecilia (Sobon) Kastler and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Edward enjoyed bowling and going to the Nascar Daytona 500 each year that he could. He was also a member of the Ukrainian Club.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Ann Kastler; and two nephews, Richard Kastler, and Lester Caler.

Edward is survived by his wife, Olive  R. (Davidson) Kastler; a daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Steve Zelechowski of Hopewell Twp.; two grandchildren, Steven (Sara) Zelechowski, and Jonathan Zelechowski; a great-granddaughter, Fiona Zelechowski; a sister-in-law, Goldie Caler; six nephews, Robert Kastler, Wayne Kastler, Robert Bryson, John Bryson, Sharp Davidson, and Ronald Caler; three nieces, Tracy Perroti, Donna Calabria, Kelly Davidson; and numerous cousins and great nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa Pa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Saturday at 9:15am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Internment to follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
