Dante J. Bonomi

April 9, 1924 ~ March 8, 2016 (age 91) 91 Years Old

Dante J. Bonomi of Hopewell Township, Beaver County died on Tuesday, March 8, 2016.  Born in Aliquippa, PA on April 9, 1924, he was the son of Antonio and Antonia (Piroli) Bonomi, was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church and graduated from Aliquippa High School.

He was a Paratrooper with the 11th Airborne Division for three years during World War II and was discharged with the rank of S/Sgt. After two years of combat in the Pacific theater.

He graduated from Geneva College and attended Graduate School at Duquesne University.  In addition, he was certified as a Police Instructor by the Pennsylvania Municipal Officer Education and Training Commission and received certification as an Instructor of Breathalyzer at Indiana University.

He was retired as a Special Agent, Intelligence, from the U.S. Treasury Department and later as an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Community College Beaver County.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Florence Colaizzi, Mary Sylvester, and Natalie Barna and his brother Camillo Bonomi.  He is survived by his brother, Aldo Bonomi, and loving nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4pmand 6-8pm in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Friday at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Titus Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

No flowers, please.  Donations may be made to St. Titus Catholic Church, 952 Franklin Avenue, Aliquippa, PA or to a charity of choice.
