Christy A. LeDonne

February 18, 1940 ~ July 29, 2017 (age 77) 77 Years Old

Christy A. LeDonne, 77, of Aliquippa, formerly of Monaca, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 29, 2017 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on February 18, 1940 in Rochester, a son of the late Mario and Angeline (Furguille) LeDonne.  Chris  was a devoted member of St. Titus Catholic Church where he  was active in the Holy Name Society and the St. Vincent DePaul Society serving as treasurer for both.  He  was a dedicated volunteer for events and dinners in Titan Hall.  Chris was very active in Aliquippa Sports including youth sports, and he was a member of the Aliquippa Quarterback Club, and he was a lifetime member of the Monaca Sons of Italy.  He was a graduate of Monaca High School where he excelled in sports. He served in The United States Marine Corp. in Okinawa.  Chris was a manager for UPS and  retired truck driver having worked for various trucking companies.  After retiring, Chris continued to work part time at Darroch Memorial Chapel and John’s Tires and Brakes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Edward, and Robert LeDonne; a sister, Loretta Phillips; two brothers-in-law, Leon Whipple and Arthur Broadbent; and a sister-in-law, Eleanor LeDonne.

Chris is survived by his wife, Edwina (Mock) LeDonne; six sons, Brandon (Mary) LeDonne; Jonathan (Maggie) LeDonne; Justin LeDonne; Nathan LeDonne; Scott LeDonne, and Christopher LeDonne; five grandchildren, Tatum, Mia, Makenna, Marco, and Jamie  LeDonne; and his faithful companion, Louie; two sisters, Adeline Whipple; and Mary Ann Broadbent; a sister-in-law, Gertrude LeDonne; and two brothers-in-law, Pete (Harriet)  Mottes, and Jan (Esther) Mock.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 1-4pm and 6-8pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www.darrochfuneralhome.com where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Titus Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies where full military honors will be conducted.

The St. Titus Holy Name Society will recite a rosary on Tuesday evening at 7:30pm in the funeral home.
