Anna Elizabeth Yates

July 8, 1929 ~ November 30, 2016 (age 87) 87 Years Old

On Wednesday, November 30,2016 surrounded by her family, Ann E Yates, 87 of Beaver, formerly of Aliquippa was reunited with her one true love her husband of 47 years Richard E Yates and her son William R Yates.

 

Born July 8, 1929 in Westmoreland County PA, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Helen (Buchovecky) Hovanec.  Ann was a member of St Titus Parish Aliquippa.  

 

Surviving Ann are two sons and two daughters in law:  David R, Yates Beaver with whom she resided, Victor M. and Mary Yates Moon Township and Denise Yates Beaver.  Nine grandchildren: Renee (Anthony) Bufalini, Karianne (Tom) Naughton, Celina ( Mike) Hendershot, Donald Yates, Julie Ann Ritton, Richard (Toni) Yates, Victor (Jennie) Yates, David( Courtney) Yates and Vanessa Yates and  14 great grandchildren.  Ann is also survived by her sister Elaine Voss, a brother William (Catherine) Hovanec, and a sister in law Doris Hovanec  

 

Preceding her in death along with her husband and son were her  husband’s parents Silvio and Julia (Gallo) Iezzi, three of her five siblings:  John and Connie Hovanec, Frank Hovanec, Rosemary and Paul Ayoob, and  brother in laws: Roger Yates and John Voss

 

Ann retired from the Friendly Federal Credit Union as manager after 23 years of service and then served another 21 as Board Treasurer.

 

The Yates family would like to thank the administration, nurses, and staff of Beaver Meadows for the loving care they provided their mother in her final months of her life.

Friends will be received on Saturday December 3, 2016 from 8:00am until the time of closing prayers at 9:30 am in the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill Street, www.darrochfuneralhome.com followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Titus Catholic Church at 10:00am.

 

Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
